All are welcome to join us at Santi Forest Monastery, Bundanoon for this event on Saturday the 1st of August 2026. You are welcome to bring a dish to share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the full moon day of July to the full moon day of October the monastic community will be entering into a quiet retreat period dedicated to practice in seclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We warmly invite you to join us this year for an auspicious ceremony, where we come together to support the Sangha by offering monastic dwellings.e monastic order. The Buddha famously declared that dedicating a dwelling to the Sangha provides the donor with continuous merit that flows night and day, acting as a powerful vehicle for rebirth in joyful heavenly realms and serving as a firm foundation for one’s own eventual realization of Nibbana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.30 am<\/td>Arrival of guest & offering of requisites to the Nuns<\/td><\/tr>
10.00 am<\/td>Offering of the monastic dwellings (Kuti puja) with auspicious chanting<\/td><\/tr>
10.30 am<\/td>Alms round (Pindapatha)<\/td><\/tr>
11.00 am<\/td>Shared meal for the guests<\/td><\/tr>
12.15 pm<\/td>Guided meditation & Dhamma talk<\/td><\/tr>
1.00 pm<\/td>Guided tour of the monastery<\/td><\/tr>
2.30 pm<\/td>End of the day with a cuppa<\/td><\/tr>
