This post is updated regularly.<\/p>\n<p>(updated <em>25\/09\/2012<\/em>)<\/p>\n<h4>Food items:<\/h4>\n<p><em>whole milk, skim milk, soy milk,\u00a0<em><em>coconut milk<\/em><\/em>, juice, <em><em>yogurt,<\/em> <\/em>cheese, fetta cheese, apples, kiwi, butter,\u00a0<em><em><em><em><em>corn flower,<\/em><\/em> <em>tofu,<\/em><\/em> salads, broccoli, potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, zucchini, radish, tomatoes, leek, pumpkin, spinach, barley, lentils, ginger, garlic,\u00a0<em>coriander, cumin powder, sunflower seeds, dried fruits (apricot, raisin, prunes, banana), nuts (peanut, cashew, walnut, ), soya\u00a0sauce (light), custard powder, canned diced tomato, tomato paste, paprika, basil, peppermint tea (decaf), Marmite, mayonnaise, taco shells,\u00a0cinnamon\u00a0sticks, all purpose seasoning, grounded ginger, paprika, white\u00a0pepper, plain biscuits &#8211; crackers, grapes, brown sugar, butter, tofu hard, cereal \u00a0<\/em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>evening allowables (dark chocolate, sweets, miso)\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Miscellaneous items:<\/h4>\n<p><em>Glad Bags<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Not needed at present &#8211; we have plenty of the following<\/h3>\n<p><em>(updated <em>25\/09\/2012<\/em>)<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Food items we currently have plenty of<\/h4>\n<p><em>white rice, flour, baking powder, ginger, garlic, sugar, instant noodles, tea and instant coffee, stock powder, sauces and condiments, cake, honey, salt, bottled water (see below)<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Non-food items we currently have plenty of<\/h4>\n<p><em>white clothing of all kinds<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>toothpaste, toothbrushes, paracetamol, skin care products, liniment, hand cleaner and soap, blank CDs, blank DVDs, CD &amp; DVD covers, AA Batteries, towels, chemical detergents (see below).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Towels<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We also have plenty of tealight\u00a0 and other candles.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Santi and the environment<\/h3>\n<p>As a forest monastery bordering Morton National Park we strive to minimize our impact on our environment. We support Bundanoon in its \u201cbottled water &#8211; free\u201d town campaign \u2013 so PLEASE, do not offer bottled water to the monastery. We also refrain from using disposable items such as: plates, cups and cutlery, tea light candles and other materials that harm the environment.<br \/>\nAt Santi we have an environmentally friendly greywater system, which cannot handle harsh chemical detergents, so please offer only &#8216;greywater safe&#8217; laundry detergents.<\/p>\n<p>We appreciate your support in our effort to keep a green monastery.<\/p>\n<h3>The Spirit of Dana<\/h3>\n<p>Please note that in order to keep alive the spirit of reliance on alms food, none of the money donated to the monastery is spent on food .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Acts of generosity lead to joy.<br \/>\nJoy leads to peace,<br \/>\nPeace leads to insight,<br \/>\nInsight leads to Liberation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Sadhu!
