Dear Friends,<\/p>\n

As we approach the end of 2018 (in a few blinks of the eye!) and move into a new year, we\u2019d like to share the news of a change of Spiritual Director at Santi. Ajahn Brahm has been holding the role of Spiritual Director since Bhante Sujato departed in 2012, helping to support the monastery and community through various transitions during that time. Ajahn Brahm now feels it\u2019s a good time for him to step back from the role and has expressed his confidence in Ayya Jitindriya<\/a> to take it on \u2013 as this is also the intent expressed in the Santi FM constitution, that a resident sangha member be the Spiritual Director. The sangha at Santi voted on this prior to the AGM on the 8th<\/sup> December, and it was unanimously agreed that Ayya Jitindriya would take on the role.<\/p>\n

We are very grateful to Ajahn Brahm for his service and guidance to the Santi community over the years, and hope he will continue to find time to visit Santi and Sydney on regular occasions, despite his busy schedule.<\/p>\n

Additionally, we are grateful to Bhante Sujato for agreeing to be available for spiritual advice to Ayya Jitindriya and the Santi nuns\u2019 community as needed, as he is soon to take up residence in the Sydney area.<\/p>\n
