Summer at Santi

Its been a rich and full time at Santi this summer season with a swelling of our monastic community between November and January.

We enjoyed the presence and company of Bhante Sujato for about 5 weeks or so and Bhante Akaliko for about 7 weeks. We also had the pleasure of Ayya Sukhi staying with us for two months and shorter visits of a week or so from both Ayya Yeshe and Ayya Samma-Samadhi.

The summer and Christmas holidays also brings many lay people to the monastery, either to stay as guests or to offer dana. All who have come over this time have enjoyed the peace of Santi in one way or another, as well as the offerings of Dhamma reflections over the lunch time ceremony and during our twice weekly evening meetings.

We hope all who are connected with Santi FM enjoyed the holiday season and stayed safe and well. Now, alas, its back to work! But, remember, as Ajahn Chah once said:
“… if you’ve got time to breathe, you’ve got time to meditate!”

So, we just need to take it one step, or one breath, at a time.                 With much metta from all of us at Santi.
