Welcome to the Santi Virtual Kathina Celebration 2020!

As the usual Kathina celebration at Santi can’t happen due to the coronavirus situation and restrictions on large gatherings, the nuns are offering these videos of a ‘virtual’ Kathina as a way to connect with and support the community associated with Santi FM.

Kathina season in the Buddhist calendar is a traditional time to come together, enjoy good company, recollect the many blessings of the Triple Gem and express our gratitude for the Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha. Usually, the donations offered by the generous lay community at Kathina time help support the monastery’s costs throughout the year. This year, the Santi FM Committee are raising funds to support the monastery via the Give Now fundraising portal – If you wish to donate in the spirit of Kathina time just click on the button at the bottom of this page. All offerings, no matter how small, are greatly appreciated.
