Santi Forest Monastery and Metta Centre are honoured to host Ajahn Brahm for his Sydney tour from 16 to 18 February 2024! We have three days of diverse events, to allow participants to discover the Power of Stillness.
The Power of Stillness: A Public Talk by Ajahn Brahm
Friday 16 February | 7:00PM – 9:00PM
At Western Sydney University, Parramatta South
In person and on Zoom
The tour will commence with public talk on 16 February. The evening will start with guided meditation, followed by a talk on the Power of Stillness, and then the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions.
The Power of Stillness: A Day of Practice with Ajahn Brahm
Saturday 17 February | 9:00AM – 5:00PM
At Western Sydney University, Parramatta South
Spend the day deepening your understanding and experience of the Power of Stillness through the skilful guidance of Ajahn Brahm. Through a series of talks, guided meditations, Q&A sessions, and shared meal, participants will be able to learn how to settle their mind, heal their heart and discover the profound Power of Stillness.
The event is fully catered.

Talk 2 – Healing with stillness – empowering your mental wellbeing.

Fundraising Gala Dinner

Join us for a Gala Dinner with Ajahn Brahm, other monastics and friends as we celebrate the importance of spiritual friendship on our Dhamma journey. The evening will be filled with Dhamma from Ajahn Brahm; opportunities to meet other monks, nuns and Buddhist friends; cultural performances; an exciting auction and raffle; and a delicious vegetarian dinner.
The event is to fundraise for Santi Forest Monastery’s latest project: a suburban nuns’ residence – a place to care for the aged, to look after the sick & offer regular teachings to the Buddhist communities in the Sydney suburb.

Big Cave Day Retreat with Ajahn Brahm
Sunday 18 February | 9:30AM-5:00PM
At Santi Forest Monastery – 100 Coalmines, Bundanoon
On this special one day retreat, Ajahn Brahm will offer dhamma talks to deepen your meditation practice and guide you towards insights followed by Q&A sessions. The retreat offers all participants the rare opportunity to meditate with Ajahn Brahm in the deep stillness of the Big Cave.
Participants can enjoy Bushwalking in tranquil surroundings of the monastery which is adjacent to the Morton National Park.
This is a free event but registration is essential as limited seats available!
Helpful items to bring along : A warm jumper or wrap, good walking shoes, hat, water bottle.
Some meditation mats, cushions and chairs are provided.
